For our final site visit of the year, we visited the Google HQ project in Kings Cross. This 11-storey project expects to cater for more than 4,000 employees and includes a rooftop garden with a running track, swimming pool and auditorium. It has also been called a “landscraper” being as long as The Shard is tall.
The visit included a tour of the site during the ground remediation and piling works phase and an exclusive introduction to the project and Kings Cross, and the innovation on the project. We really enjoyed learning about the sustainability and use of BIM.
We would like to thank Lendlease, Gardiner & Theobald, and Argent for this great opportunity to learn about a major upcoming development occurring in London. A special thanks to Jake Mitchell and Dave Jones for making this possible and to Peter Runacres, Mike Hardman and Steve Game for an insightful presentation and Q&A session.
