Site Visit - 25th October 2017
Tim Nelhams, UCL alumni currently working for Reactive Integrated Services (RIS) has invited us to visit their refurbishment work on 1 Canon Row, one of the UK parliamentary buildings.
The building, the former Canon Row Police Station which had the most prestigious role within the Metropolitan Police with responsibilities for the Royal Family policing Buckingham Palace, Clarence House, St James’ Palace, Windsor Castle, and Government with responsibilities for The Palace of Westminster and No. 10 Downing Street in particular. Much of the exterior of the building is unaltered since it was built in 1898-1902 and is grade II* listed as is within the Whitehall Conservation Area.
The site visit will start at 2pm, Wednesday 25th October 2017. Please arrive at the site 15 minutes early, or meet us at the main quad at 1.15pm.
The visit will also include talks from RIS and Willmott Dixon.
Please wear appropriate clothing, you must bring your own boots. If you are struggling to get boots, please let us know.
